Yes, another Mermaid post!  Since the Mermaid collab with Locketship was selling so swimmingly (HUR HUR HUR!) Miss Maria decided to take part in an amazing event, the first ever Mercon!  Yes, that’s right~ a MERMAID themed convention! I could not attend the event, but I jumped at the chance to work on a new mermaid piece to launch at the event with Locketship.  A lot of people had requested another design with a mermaid girl + her tail in the piece~  so after a bit of sketching on how to work this out so she fit cute in the circle shape of the jewelry pieces + would still be easy to see at such a small size~ I came up with this little lady:

So anyway, Back to Mercon…  It sounded like an amazing event!  It was held in Las Vegas at the Silverton Mermaid Hotel  ( which has a 117,000 gallon Mermaid Tank! WHAAAAT!?) with vendors, fashion shows, Mermaid celebrities and the end of the day they had a really awesome mermaid pool party!  The always lovely Maria (locketship), Stephanie (Zilla), Stephiee (Dolly Beast) and Miss Bebe flew over from LA to attend the event and be adorable at the booth!

I love locketship jewelry!  Its absolutely amazing and really grabs everyone’s attention with its fun details and layers (I own several pieces of the unicorn collection plus the kitten collection, always so much fun to wear to shows!) So naturally I was excited to help  designer/founder Maria when she said she needed some art for a “Sparkling Sea“ Mermaid Collection!  Mermaids? Um, YES PLEASE!

I set to work right away on some mermaid girls, cute little sea creatures, and a quick logo for the collection after we discussed some basic color concepts.  We decided on some Seahorses, princess octopus, a peaceful pink mermaid, and a green/blue mermaid in coral!   ** Update! I have now added a NEW purple mermaid to the set! Post featuring the new pieces will be posted soon ♥ ***

I’m so happy with how the art came out and the final pieces look so stunning!

Like my other vinyl skins, you can purchase this through Infectious HERE or through select retailers!  I know my skins tend to pop up in San Francisco Japan town (always a nice surprise hehe) Infectious carries a great selection of artists and skin types, so spread the word to retail locations if you know a place that could use some merch like this ♥ hehe

After a community vote and passing through the staff, Inkblot is finally up for sale on the Infectious site! You can currently buy this skin for your iphone, various ipod sizes, and several laptop sizes as well! I hope everyone enjoys the skins~
