I have an amazing selection of girly art eye candy to share today (after taking forever to post these!!!) The amazingly talented Photographer Jennifer Erickson contacted me a while back and asked if I would be ok with her doing some shoots based on a few pieces of mine~ I loved her portfolio and said absolutely!  Who does not want to see something like that?? Over the past few years she has shot a few inspiration shoots or tributes to some of my images and they are all so beautiful I just had to share them here with my visitors! I’ll show a few side by side just for fun and share the rest below in a gallery <3  some just go with the collection, or have small inspirations, and a few are a little more obviously inspired by pieces, can you guess which ones? I even had the chance to finally meet her (along with Miss Alphabet ) after the Sanrio 50th show/ party and we had a nice day thrifting around Melrose!

Glitter, bubbles, magic, and evil villainess laughter will fill the air as we celebrate artwork inspired by Japanese Magical Girls (Maho Shoujo).

I am SOOOOO INSANELY UPSET that I can not make this event!  It sounds like it is going to be a total blast with awesome bands, art, and OMG Tavuchi will be there!  I had so much fun working on my piece for this show, first sanrio and now this…. I am getting spoiled on these amazing events!  For my piece I chose to pay tribute to the classic magic girls from Studio Pierrot’s series.  Creamy Mami, Fancy Lala, and Magical Fairy Pelisa are all in my piece (plus the token magic side-kicks!)  in one giant wand waving explosion! For the frame I decided to use another ornate frame and trim the border in rainbow sparkle dots plus give the whole piece some extra fine taps of glitter in the right areas.  I really hope this sells and goes to an amazing home, because I just had SO much fun working on it…. I remember being a little girl in my room trying to draw sailor moon at age 9, so its all very nostalgic for me.

One of my lovely friends just made me aware that Infectious has featured one of my Kika skins in the new wholesale book! Check it out in action!

And I also received another photo of the skin in action by the very lovely Annabella!!

Last note about the skins, at LONG LAST I have put the ones I have here in my studio up in the shop! I only have a few… maybe 1-3 of each because I don’t stock these normally. I decided to jump on the bandwagon with some of of the other artists and got a livestream account at last! Every so often I will try and flip this thing on while I’m working on a new vector piece (you can view my PC desktop live as I’m working!) OR I will flip on my old web camera and paint live while I chat with people and answer questions….or just rattle on about whatever. The very sweet Miss Totally Meow ordered some of my special sketch charms a bit ago~ She requested some kitty girls, as well as a set of matching charms for her and her sister! I was happy to fill that request, and a few weeks later I got this lovely surprise in my e-mail of her using my charms!

I’m so happy that she enjoys them and can make some good use out of them! If you ordered some charms and used them to make something fun please send me over the pics! I’m very curious
