I have an amazing selection of girly art eye candy to share today (after taking forever to post these!!!) The amazingly talented Photographer Jennifer Erickson contacted me a while back and asked if I would be ok with her doing some shoots based on a few pieces of mine~ I loved her portfolio and said absolutely!  Who does not want to see something like that?? Over the past few years she has shot a few inspiration shoots or tributes to some of my images and they are all so beautiful I just had to share them here with my visitors! I’ll show a few side by side just for fun and share the rest below in a gallery <3  some just go with the collection, or have small inspirations, and a few are a little more obviously inspired by pieces, can you guess which ones? Time for some Rainbow Photos ~

I even had the chance to finally meet her (along with Miss Alphabet ) after the Sanrio 50th show/ party and we had a nice day thrifting around Melrose!

My piece for the “Into the Darkness” show at 1am here in San Fran. The painting is on a Circus Punk blank, about 13″ high with acrylic paint. Circus Punks are made after those little furry guys at the Fairs you would try to knock over with a baseball to win a prize~ remember?

As some of you may already know, I doodle super sloppy for my personal work! I just get my idea and basic colors down with a tablet, then I move into illustrator and do the real drawing. I have been told people working in vector normally just do a super clean sketch and trace over it… does that make me weird? hehe its so boring to just follow the lines.

Anyway!! Here are some very sloppy doodles for a new collection I am working on called “Childish things”! It will/would be pin-up type girls, but with toys we all remember from growing up. Not sure if it would be for a show or just a print series~ I suppose time will tell. I would LOVE to do a silk screen series.. if only I could afford it. Well, hope you enjoy the candy-colored chicken scratch!
