April fools...

First just a bit of info, I have been with my boyfriend Nara for about 6 years now~ but he is from South Korea, so some american holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and April fools are still pretty new to him.... not BRAND new at this point, but new enough that he always seems to forget about them.

Anyway, now that we live out on our own I have made it my yearly task to screw around with his car since I am up so late working anyway.  Every year he seems to forget its april fools completely and get a nice unexpected surprise on his way to work at 6am.

Last year he was the "pokeman master"~ but the poor guy forgot all about april fools and thought someone was picking on him because he was asian or something, haha. He told me he 100% thought it was not me because the images had been printed at such a low DPI and I would have printed and cut them nicer... haha does that make me a printer nerd or something?

This year my sister was visiting me (in the pic), so she was roped into helping me go all out and be a bit more direct with the car decor...

Sadly he could not drive to work with the post-its on his car because they would fly off....so next year I need to think a little harder and make something with staying power!!

PS. it took him 40 min to remove all the post-its....ehehehehe.

Anneli Olander comes to town!

    Fellow freelance girly artist Anneli Olander came to visit with me for a week!  She was all the way over here from Sweden to attend a show down in LA that she was in, so while she was in CA she came on up to San Fran and ended up keeping me company for a bit!  We had lots of fun sipping pink martinis, but since we are both workaholics we ended up panting late at night after only a few days~ hehe. Here is anneli working on some watercolor washes and myself sanding some wood plaques for my solo show pieces this feb.

We are such Busy Bees!!

Ah yes~ it was unavoidable that we would go to the Japan mall and take purikura photos! hehe
