I wanted to do a bubblegum Queen Elizabeth for the Textbook History show at Compound gallery next month! hehehe XD
all the grey details shine really pretty with the silver leafing, its one of those pieces that looks 100 times better in person ^^

Those of you on facebook may have already read about this, but I actually had to paint this whole thing with ONE EYE!  Thats right, I got an awful something or other in my eye and had to wear an eye patch for a few weeks while it got better! hah!

Painting with one eye was really tricky, gave me quite a headache too!  I got it done though, so I'm pleased

  • I still can’t believe you were able to do this with one eye! That’s incredible, at that point I probably would have given up! But I really love the details in this one, the silver leafing must be really pretty and shiny in person. The colors are really lovely as well!

  • I would so buy this if my funds allowed me too. I love history, especially dealing with Kings and Queens. I’m especially fond of the Tudor history. Queen Elizabeth in your style looks awesome! Old mixed with pop art! Nice!
